Another great day on the cleanse! I had a bit of running around to do this morning and felt like I wanted something earlier than usual but, as I’ve been learning to do, questioned whether it

Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride and Aztec Sweet Chili herbal teas. A winning combo.

Kale, Avocado, Sprout Salad.
I had a large thermos of hot herbal tea, I love mixing flavors, my favorite for the last couple days has been Celestial Seasonings Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride mixed with Yogi’s Aztec Sweet Chili. Throw in some stevia and YUM. Veggie juices fueled me through an active day and dinner came courtesy of the fantastic Ani Phyo- Kale, Avocado, Sprout Salad. I made some kabocha squash soup to accompany the salad but ended

Kale Salad Taco in a Kabocha Shell
I didn’t get a picture because we downed them so quickly but Britney’s description of our dessert was: “It’s like drinking a nutty chocolate chip cookie!”. Mmmmmmm, hot chocolate
It’s not terribly original but here’s what I whipped up:
Nutty Chocolate Chip Cookie in a Glass
1 cup homemade nut milk (I blended shredded coconut with water and strained)
1 Tbsp cocoa powder
1-2 dropperfuls NuNaturals Cocoa Extract (too much straight cocoa keeps me up at night)
2 dropperfuls NuNaturlas liquid Vanilla Stevia
pinch of sea salt
pinch of nutmeg
Mix ingredients and warm in a saucepan to your desired temperature.
Yum, yum, yum. I feel like my body has been begging me to lighten things up like this and I didn’t even realize how much until now. So far so good anyways
Please keep sharing your experiences, I love hearing them!!

P.S. A very important note for those who purchased the 31 Days of Sugar-Free Desserts E-book!! I caught a major typo after a few books had already gone out. If your copy tells you to put 4 cups of nut milk into your Pumpkin Cream Cheese Spread we have a problem
I apologize for missing this, please feel free to email me at veggiecentrickitchen@gmail.com and I’ll send you an edited copy!

That tack looks really good. I hunk I’ll have that for dinner tomorrow. I am assuming you actually eat the squash skin? Is that true? Btw, I am doing the Rose Cleanse too. ; )
Pardon the misspells! Gotta love the iPhone auto correct feature!
It took me a sec but I figured you meant “taco”
Yes, I totally eat the shells, they are my favorite part! It reminds me of eating pumpkin pie crust when I sweeten it.
Also, I had no idea you had a blog! So cool, it’s in my Google Reader now
Thanks for the info! Yeah, I just started the blog over the holiday, and I’m a bit nervous, but I’m sure I work my way through that. : )
