Tea and Randomness

I’ve been “tagged”. Last week, Megan @ The Detoxinista passed along this little game to me. I usually ignore these sorts of things but I had so much fun reading hers I thought, why not? So first, a yummy hot tea recipe, and then a moment of self-indulgence that you can choose to ignore if you have better things to do with your weekend ;)

Ginger Chocolate Tea:

1- 1 1/2 cups water

1 thumb-sized knob ginger

2 Tbsp cacao nibs

NuNaturals stevia, to taste

Chop ginger into chunks and place into mug with cacao nibs. Bring water to a boil and pour over ginger-cacao mixture. Let sit for 5-10 minutes. Strain through a nut milk bag and sweeten the remaining liquid.

  1. Bless – your cat is adorable…
Is your colonic unit easy to use..,. Xx

    • It definitely took some trial and error practice and I’d ONLY recommend it if you’ve had a series of really good professional ones. Now it’s a piece of cake :)

What is it about tattoos that feeds a never-ending desire/compulsion to continue getting more?! I’m like an addict…after I get one I tell myself I’m good and that’s the last one…then a new piece of art and meaning calls to me deeply and I NEED to get it inked ;) I love yours by the way!! And btw, we all DO want to hear about your life…so feel free to self-indulge as much as you please

  3. I love this idea for tea! I will definitely have to make some. And your tattoo is amazing! I got an armband a few years ago and have been thinking about adding something else, but haven’t had the inspiration yet. :)

  4. So fun to read all the randomness. :) I love your tattoo!!!

I’m adding the sweet potato sushi on my never-ending-list of things “to make,” too.

  5. I love the idea of a food forest too! Still sorting out the wheres & hows etc of that one though ;) Your tattoo looks fantastic! Growing up on an island in Alaska sounds pretty magical too. Have you been back since leaving?

    • I have been back but it’s been a LONG time! I’d like to go back again and take my girlfriend. Yeah, the food forest thing is tricky, I don’t even know where to begin!
