What I Ate Yesterday and We’ve Moved!

Happy delayed “What I Ate Wednesday”! Things have been absolutely crazy over here- Britney and I have just gotten our first official place together in Seattle! I’ll still be working in Bellingham a few days a week but I’m very excited to be calling Seattle home with my lady :)

Moving Day Eats:

a cup of spring water during an hour of yoga

a cup of homemade kombucha (these are my go-to directions and this is my favorite tea to use)

4 cups of carrot/kale/romaine/zucchini/lemon/ginger juice with stevia

For lunch I was aiming for a sweet/salty fix and wrapped a mixture of avocado and zucchini chunks topped with carob, cacao nibs, and stevia with nori sheets. It was…interesting.

Pre-dinner I had a bunch of cherry tomatoes while I baked Trader Joe’s organic pizzas for the lovely people helping us move. Then I rather hurriedly satisfied my own pizza-ish craving with chunks of raw sheep cheese and sun dried tomatoes wrapped in romaine leaves. I’m also loving this yellow mustard made with apple cider vinegar.

Dessert was more sheep cheese and dark chocolate for an impromptu Chocolate Cheesecake Crack.

Tonight we officially moved in and celebrated with a raw meal at Thrive which is, to my delight, right down the street!

  1. Congrats to you both! Enjoy Seattle… I grew up near there (Duvall)… if it weren’t for all the rain it would be the greatest place on earth : )

  2. Totally going to read up on your kombucha…I love that stuff! :)

  3. A) Super congrats!!! That is so exciting! Love to see some pics of the new place ;)

    B) Holy shizz, your lunch looks bad-ass delicious!

I just found your blog. I am so excited that you live in my part of the country. Thrive is a place I have been meaning to go and try out…gotta happen soon. We live on the east side of the bridges. We (hubby and I) are wanting to try making kombucha so I will have to take a look at your directions. Glad to have a new blog to read and in my own “backyard” to boot. Thanks.

    • Well hello neighbor! Thrive is very enjoyable, I’m surprised we don’t go there more! I love meeting up with people through the blog, if you ever want dinner company and to make some new friends, let me know :)
