My Top 5 Favorite Dark Chocolate Bars

My love for dark chocolate is no secret. It is very low in sugar and combine neutrally (you can eat them after just about anything!) for food combining purposes. I have an “emergency bar” in my work bag, in my glove compartment, and my cupboard is always stocked. I had to stop carrying my emergency chocolate in my purse, I got tired of chocolate-coated cell phone…I’m excited to share my favorites here, I’d love to hear if you have a favorite I haven’t discovered yet!

I have a hard time not eating an entire bar of Endangered Species Mint Chocolate whenever I open it. Luckily Britney doesn’t like mint and cocoa so I don’t have to share ;)

Lily’s Sweets makes a wonderful stevia-sweetened chocolate bar that is perfect for milk chocolate lovers. The cacao content is only 55% so it’s much sweeter than the usual dark chocolate bar but with no sugar.

For the price, Trader Joe’s Organic Dark Chocolates are hard to beat. I’m always surprised how tasty they are for how little I pay for them!

My dear friend Lola introduced me to this fabulous raw chocolate company, Raw Shakti. Their chocolates are made from coconut sugar and WHOLE coconut (as opposed to coconut oil) and my hands down favorite is the Single Origin Ecuador- a yummy 85% dark.

Theo Chocolates are local to us here in Seattle and are all mouth watering. I especially like this limited edition version with sea salt.

Bonus Chocolates!!

I fell in love with the Belgian Biscuit, it’s only 65% cacao and has flaxseeds added but it’s so tasty I have to have one once in a while.

Trader Joe’s Dark Chocolate Lovers Bar is Britney’s most recent favorite. It’s incredibly smooth, creamy, and dark, dark, dark.

Please feel free to share your favorite chocolate finds!

I just bought the Endangered Species Mint one and eat half the bar – LOL! It’s also my husband’s favorite too. I look forward to trying the Lily’s.

These all look interesting and yummy!
I am so boring – I buy the same kind over and over again. I like Ghirardelli Intense Dark Chocolate… the Midnight Reverie with 86% Cacao. Have you tried that one?

  3. LOVE the mint chocolate one– it’s probably my all-time favorite. (Austin doesn’t like mint + chocolate, either, so it’s all mine!!) I also love Green & Black’s 70% and 85% bars, depending on my sweet tooth. ;)
