“What I Ate Wednesday” is on hiatus this week because, well, I left my camera at home today…I did decide though that today was “Goat Cheese Appreciation Day” after last months vegan experiment! Today I want to share a couple of recent discoveries that I think some of you might also appreciate!

Hilary’s Eat Well has produced the cleanest veggie burger I have ever found (they did name it The World’s Best Veggie Burger and I can’t disagree). They are vegan, well-combined, free of nuts and soy and the main ingredients are sweet potatoes and quinoa!

I am absolutely in love with every product from Coconut Secret, most recently their raw vegan coconut ice cream. It’s such a treat to be able to go to the store and get a nut-free frozen raw dessert! If you haven’t tried them, I’m also a big fan of their coconut bars.
Have you discovered anything fun and new lately?

Oh wowwww. Those are some awesome finds! What stores carry Coconut Secrets??
Brazil nut milk! I made some this week and it was soooooooo creamy!
Aaaaand just noticed the store locator on their website haha.
We have them in all of our health food stores here now! I haven’t seen brazil nut milk but I have been curious about flax milk.
I just made brazil nut milk too, it is amazing! Rande, that veggie burger has recently become my favorite too! Topped with avocado and hot sauce it is a real treat! Xo -mb
Oh yeah coconut. Thanks for sharing this, I see that have it available in several stores near me, I’m excited to try it. I usually buy Coconut Bliss “ice cream” but I am totally going to try this one!
Love the ingredients in the veggie burger. Definitely going to try them. Thanks.
Is the veggie burger in the frozen food section?
yep
Hi I love all the coconut secret product too especially vinegar. but I have not tried ice cream yet. Would you consider it as neutral or nut based for the purpose of food combining. Thanks a lot
I would combine it like a coconut
I don’t know for sure but I’m assuming it’s made from mature coconuts which combine similarly to a dried fruit. You can eat it in the nut/seed category OR with an avocado based meal but not with starches.
Love those veggie burgers! I recently discovered them as well and can’t get enough. The only ingredient that is questionable is the psylliam seed husk. I have read mixed reviews on this ingredient. What are your thoughts on it?
I wouldn’t use it on it’s own but I think it’s in a pretty small amount in the burgers. If you feel good after eating them I wouldn’t worry about it.
