Am I crazy?
This has been the most common thought floating around my brain on day one of NINETY days on fresh juice. This is daunting, let me tell you. I don’t have any doubts that I can do it, I’m just feeling anxious about difficult days where I really, REALLY don’t want to. Long days at work, parties, going out, late nights…I didn’t pick a particularly slow and easy time in my life to do this but at the same time, it sort of feels like the time chose me.

Physically, day one has been easy so far though I still have the evening to get through and I anticipate that being the most challenging part. I feel really great and am LOVING including fruit juices for the first time in a fast. Thankfully I was off today and spent a heap of time gathering inspiration from the juice feasters who came before me. Curious to see some folks who’ve actually done this? Here are my favorite’s I’m catching up on:
Angela Stokes-Monarch
Courtney Pool
Philip McCluskey
Matthew and Victoria
In addition to feasting on juices and the above inspiration, I’ve hopped on board with a couple of other challenges (I LOVE a good challenge) that are meshing perfectly into my life at the moment. The first is the Organizational Challenge! This awesome blogger put together a really great 12 week Spring cleaning challenge that has my kitchen looking sparkly and the rest of my home just
waiting to join in! The other challenge is the 21 day Chopra Meditation Challenge that Deepak Chopra teams up with Oprah to do. So far I’m not wild about this one but I’ll give it a few more days to see if it grows on me. I love the idea of meditation and I’m always saying I wish I had a regular practice but I’ve never committed to it. I also find most guided meditations to be a bit cheesy and I have a hard time taking them seriously.
I will be recording my daily juices in the above Juice Feast tab and will use this space to share how I’m feeling. In the meantime I’ll be trying to stay the heck away from Pinterest and all it’s tasty temptations
However, if you’d like to follow along with my juice board, I’ll be taking advantage that quite often!

I may be crazy too! I’ve been thinking of doing this too and perhaps the time is now! If you want to add another challenge, there’s Baron Baptiste’s 40 Days to Personal Revolution incorporating journaling, intuitive eating (or drinking) with 40 days of yoga and meditation. You can do it on your own following his book or may yoga studios do the 40 Days to Revolution in a group atmosphere. Rande, Thank you for the inspiration!

Colleen! I’ve totally done that challenge
I’m truly such a sucker for challenges. Let me know if you decide to join in in the juicing!
Pretty hair today Rande:)
Thanks! I got the most amazing haircut!! I asked the lady to super-layer my hair so that you could see the waves when it dried, it’s the best haircut I’ve ever gotten. I have to do almost nothing to make it look like this.
Yay! I love reading this. I’m thinking of doing a 20 day juice feast soon. soon! can you give any insight on maybe how to deal with doing a juice feast while living with people who eat around you and you sit with during meal time? Like how it might make it awkward? Also, another questions is where do you get your produce to juice and do you ever get non organic things? last thing! what kind of juicer do you have? Sorry for all of the questions!
so excited for you and this journey and look forward to reading your updates.
How exciting! I do live with AND in many cases cook for someone but I guess I’m used to being the odd one anyways and it doesn’t bother me to sit down with a jar of juice. If I’m with people I’m not as comfortable with I try and have something like orange juice instead of something crazy and green. Most people can appreciate being excited about a big glass of fresh squeezed oj
I mostly shop at Trader Joe’s for produce but organic does get expensive. I was watching some juice feasting videos on Youtube yesterday and there was a couple who juiced for a full 100 days and, for cost reasons, didn’t get everything organic. They gave some good tips about washing and I’m definitely open to that to keep costs down. I’ve scoured the internet for some great wholesalers and that makes a huge difference in price. Lastly, I have a Breville! There are lots of good juicers out there but I really love mine! I even got a citrus juicer recently thinking that would be easier, but I think I’ll be sticking with my Breville. Let me know if you decide to start feasting as well
